Manchester City are interested in signing Celtic player

Celtic have a lot to be happy about at this point of time. The Hoops are coming off of a brilliant season in which they completed an unlikely Premiership and League Cup double. It was Ange Postecoglou’s first season in charge of a top flight European club and on top of that, the odds were stacked against them after finishing trophyless and 25 points behind the Rangers the last time around.

Thus, Celtic fans have a lot to look forward to next season, including Champions League group stage football after years. But at the same time, the club have their fair share of problems as well.

The biggest of them in recent years has been their inability to keep hold of their youngsters, as clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and others have swooped in, and signed them.

The latest name in this list was that of Ben Doak. And now, it looks like another Celtic youngster has caught the eyes of clubs around Europe. As reported by The Scottish Sun, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United are in the race to sign Rory Mahady. The 15-year-old is one of Europe’s biggest goalkeeping prospects and as a result, there is no lack of clubs trying to take him away from Parkhead.

In recent times, whenever clubs from down South have set their eyes on Celtic youngsters, more often than not, they have been able to sign them.

As a result, if Mahady ended up leaving Celtic in the near future to join a big team around Europe, it would not come as a massive surprise to many fans of the Hoops, even though it would be a disappointment for sure.

It remains to be seen how things turn out surrounding Mahady. On the other hand, Celtic have another very highly rated young goalkeeper coming through their ranks at the moment inn the form of Tobi Oluwayemi, who many believe can be a starter one day.
