Premier League club being linked with Celtic summer signing

Celtic are coming off of a fantastic 3-0 win over the Rangers in the Glasgow Derby. It has sent them back to the top of the Scottish Premiership table once again. Of course, there is still a long way to go in the league and we are still at the beginning of February. But even then, sitting at first after such a long time should be a massive confidence booster for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Reo Hatate grabbed most of the headlines on the night and rightfully so, with a brilliant brace as well as an assist in his first ever Glasgow Derby appearance. Another player who had a great game though is Liel Abada.

Abada scored the third to put the game to bed, showing some brilliant movement in the box. And he set up one of Hatate’s goals as well.

And as reported by The Scottish Sun, Crystal Palace are keeping tabs on Abada, and reports in his homeland claim that Celtic have already pushed back a tentative approach from The Eagles.

Crystal Palace appear to have their eyes on the rising Celtic star

One has to admit that Abada’s form has blown a bit hot and cold since arriving at Celtic and he has had his fair share of critics. But for a player who is still just 20 years of age, his numbers are absolutely brilliant.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Abada has scored 13 goals and provided 9 assists in 37 appearances for Celtic.

Thus, it is not hard to see why there might be a lot of interest in Abada’s signature, who arrived at Celtic just in the previous summer transfer window and would be expected to get even better with some more experience under his belt. Thus, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the Israeli international.
