Ange Postecoglou makes incredible addition to Celtic coaching team

When Ange Postecoglou had arrived as the manager of Celtic, there was very little excitement around the move. Most fans questioned whether he had the pedigree to manage a club of this size, having never managed a top flight club in Europe, even though he had enjoyed tremendous success in Australia and Scotland.

It is safe to say that Postecoglou has already proven the doubters wrong by guiding Celtic to a Scottish Premiership and League Cup double, despite all the odds being stacked against the club.

While Celtic might have enjoyed a lot of success last season, this upcoming one is even more exciting, as they have the Scottish crown to defend and Champions League football returning to Parkhead after several years. Also, there is a feeling that we have not seen Angeball in full flow yet.

Amidst all this, Postecoglou has ended up making an incredible addition to his coaching team at Celtic. As reported by Sky Sports, Harry Kewell is set to join the backroom team at Parkhead. The Australian will be joining as a first-team coach.

Postecoglou makes incredible addition to his coaching team at Celtic

Postecoglou’s coaching team last season consisted of John Kennedy as assistant manager, along with Stephen McManus, Gavin Strachan and Stevie Woods as coaches.

Now though, he has decided to add to it by bringing in Kewell and it is certainly an exciting addition for sure.

As a player, Kewell is one of the greatest ever in the history of his country. He played for the likes of Liverpool, Leeds United and Galatasaray.

He won the FA Cup during his time at Anfield as well as becoming the first Australian player to life the Champions League title. He has tried his hand in management as well, but that has not brought as much success till now. His last job was at Barnet.
