Two Rangers players have been ruled out vs Celtic

Celtic and the Rangers are set to face each other in one of the most important Glasgow Derbies in a long time, set to be played at Parkhead. The Ibrox side might have finished 25 points ahead last season but since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as manager in the summer, the Hoops have shown tremendous progress. At the moment, the gap between the two sides is just two points.

As a result, if Celtic win this game, they will go top of the Premiership after a long time. Of course, the target must be to finish there but even reaching it in February would be a huge confidence booster for the Hoops.

Thus, it is safe to say that a lot is riding on the result of this game and both sides will be hoping to get all three points.

Rangers will be without two of their players when they face Celtic though. As reported by Sky Sports, Giovanni van Bronckhorst ruled out a Parkhead debut for Aaron Ramsey. Filip Helander is still out as well.

Rangers duo ruled out against Celtic

This is surely a big blow for the Rangers. Ramsey is their big signing of the season, having arrived on deadline day of the January transfer window, on loan from Juventus. The Welshman has had his fair share of injury problems in recent times though and does not look ready to feature yet.

On the other hand, Helander scored the winner against Celtic, when the two teams had met the last time.

Of course, Celtic have their fair share of availability issues as well with the likes of Kyogo, David Turnbull, Yosuke Ideguchi and a few others looking certain to miss the game through injuries. Nir Bitton is also out, through suspension. But fortunately, there are hopes that Callum McGregor and Daizen Maeda could end up featuring against the Rangers. Tom Rogic could potentially be on the bench as well.
