Ange Postecoglou confirms double Celtic injury boost vs Hearts

Celtic will know that their upcoming Scottish Premiership game against Hearts is going to be a tough one and could have implications near the top of the table. At this point of time, the Hoops sit at second in the table while the visitors are sitting at third. And Ange Postecoglou’s side need a positive result to keep up the pressure on the Rangers, who are sitting at the top.

Hearts will in fact go above Celtic in the Scottish Premiership table if they manage to get a win at Parkhead. The two have met twice this season till now, with each winning one game.

Celtic appear to have some good news heading into the game though on the injury front and will have a couple of midfielders available for selection in the form of Tom Rogic and Nir Bitton.

Ange Postecoglou confirmed the news while speaking on Celtic’s official YouTube channel in a media conference heading into the game against Hearts.

Celtic handed major double injury boost for Hearts game

The big one out of the two would definitely be that of Rogic, who has been out for quite some time now.

The Australian established himself as a starter in Postecoglou’s side and was playing some of his best football in Celtic shirt before picking up the injury. Hopefully, he will be able to pick up right where he left off when he does ultimately return to the pitch, which could possibly be against Hearts.

On the other hand, in Rogic’s absence, Bitton also proved himself to be an important member of this Celtic team and showed that he had a role to play. Thus, it is great to have him back as well and fortunately, it was not a long injury layoff in his case.

Now, it remains to be seen how things turn out when the Hoops face Hearts at Parkhead.
