When Celtic face Aberdeen at Parkhead in the Scottish Premiership, a lot will be up for grabs for both sides. The Hoops will have happy memories from the fixture. The last time when the two teams met, they had come out on top and it was the beginning of their good run of results and form, which saw Ange Postecoglou’s side go on an impressive nine-game unbeaten run.
That run came to an end in midweek though when Bayer Leverkusen handed Celtic a 3-2 defeat away in Germany thanks to two unanswered late goals.
Now, the Hoops will be hoping to start another unbeaten run by beating Aberdeen. This time around though, the game will be played at Parkhead.
For Aberdeen, this is an important game as well. They currently sit at 8th in the Scottish Premiership table and there will certainly be a lot of pressure on Stephen Glass’ shoulders to turn things around quickly and get them rising up the table. Thus, it is safe to say that the game promises to be a very interesting one and could be very close.
Celtic Predicted XI vs Aberdeen: One massive change
Here’s how we think Ange Postecoglou will line Celtic up when they face Aberdeen at Parkhead in a very important Premiership game:
Goalkeeper: Joe Hart
One cannot help but feel that Joe Hart’s performance against Bayer Leverkusen in midweek, away in Germany, did not get the reward that it deserved.
Hart was absolutely superb on the occasion, turning back the clock on several occasions and keeping the Bundesliga giants at bay with some stunning saves.
Ultimately though, it was not enough and Celtic would concede thrice, meaning they had nothing to show for their commendable performance against Bayer Leverkusen.
Hart’s performances showed though that is still a dependable goalkeeper and the Hoops made the right decision by signing him.
