Celtic: 3 biggest winners from Postecoglou’s time at Parkhead

Ange Postecoglou might only be in the early phases of his run as the Celtic manager, but his impact at Parkhead is already becoming clear. The Hoops have shown tremendous progress over the past few months and now, they are looking like a side that can challenge for the Scottish Premiership title this season, with a few solid additions to their squad in the January transfer window.

The improvement that Celtic have made as a team is clear from their two results against Bayer Leverkusen. The first game, at Parkhead, ended 4-0 in favour of the German side while the second one, in Germany, was a close one with the Bundesliga giants scoring late twice in order to come out with a 3-2 victory.

It is not just as a team that things have improved though. There are a number of players who have benefited from Postecoglou’s appointment as the Celtic manager as well.

Now, one can only hope that they continue to improve and produce results as the season progresses.

Not too long ago, it had looked like Rogic was on his way out of Celtic on a permanent basis. The move did not take place though and he ended up staying.

He showed glimpses of what he could do last season and had small runs in the first-team. This time around though, he has completely turned things around and established himself as a regular in Postecoglou’s starting XI before he suffered an injury a few weeks back.

It will be interesting to see how he performs when he does eventually return from his injury. It must be said that he was one of the club’s best performers this season before his injury though.
