Celtic have been very successful in recent seasons, winning five of the last six domestic competitions. One of the biggest reasons behind that is their superb record when it comes identifying and signing the right players. That also means though, that clubs from abroad will be keeping an eye on them.
We have already seen Jota leave the club in a £25 million move to Al-Ittihad. And another one of Celtic’s most talented players is being linked with some of Spain’s biggest teams.
One of the best signings that Celtic have made in recent times is that of Matt O’Riley, who was brought in from English League One side, MK Dons. The Danish youth international has gone on to become a starter for the Hoops though.
O’Riley has been linked with top English clubs in the past. And now, it looks like La Liga teams are taking notice of his performances for Celtic as well.
La Liga giants want to sign Celtic player this summer
It will be very interesting to see how things play out over the course of the summer transfer window. The Hoops are expected to bring in new faces to strengthen their ranks, but at the same time, they must make sure that they keep their best players as well. O’Riley certainly falls in that category.
O’Riley is just 22 years of age and it is pretty much inevitable that he will leave Celtic in the future. Another season with the club will help him develop and improve as a player though. Not only will he be playing football but the Dane will also get the chance to work with Brendan Rodgers.
