Celtic player now finalising move away from Parkhead

Celtic have a number of players in their ranks, whose futures look uncertain. Some of them have done magnificently well and are drawing interest from foreign clubs as a result. On the other hand, there are also those who have struggled to break into the first-team picture, and could head out in search of playing time.

We have already seen Jota leave the club this summer, in order to Al-Ittihad in a £25 million transfer deal. And now, it looks like Conor Hazard could become the next one to head out of the Parkhead exit door.

Hazard played his part in the Quadruple Treble, with his heroics in the Scottish Cup final in 2020. And there were hopes that he would establish himself as the first-choice goalkeeper after that, with both Vasilis Barkas and Scott Bain struggling for form that season.

That did not happen though and Hazard soon found himself back on the bench. And since then, he has never really gotten another chance to show what he is truly capable of, despite impressing out on loan.

As tweeted out by Scott Burns, Hazard is in the process of finalising his move to Plymouth Argyle. Contrary to reports, the goalkeeper is still under contract at Celtic until the end of this coming season. He signed an extension before he went to HJK Helsinki on loan.

Hazard is certainly someone who is a good goalkeeper, as he has shown in the few chances that he has been given at Celtic and also out on loan. At 25 years of age, he needs to be playing regular football and as a result, a move away from the club would be the right step for his career.

Plymouth Argyle have recently been promoted to the Championship. Thus, it is a pretty decent level for Hazard to build his career at the senior level.
