Massive update on Josip Juranovic’s Celtic exit rumours

Celtic pulled off an absolute transfer masterstroke when they signed Josip Juranovic last summer from Legia Warsaw. The Croatian international has proven to be excellent addition to Ange Postecoglou’s squad, featuring at left-back, right-back and also on the wings, depending upon the situation. That proved to be very vital, consider how thin the Hoops were in the first half of the 2021/22 campaign.

Juranovic is a brilliant player to say the least and has become a fan favourite in a short period of time. If Celtic are to succeed next season, especially in the Champions League group stage, he will have a vital role to play.

But almost out of the blue, rumours emerged recently that Juranovic is expected to leave Celtic this summer, after just one season at the club, as his excellent performances had caught the eye of many teams.

As tweeted out by Izak Ante Sucic though, Juranovic is happy at Celtic and does not want to jeopardize his chances ahead of the World Cup in Qatar later this year as he plays regularly for the Hoops:

Massive update on Juranovic’s Celtic future

Juranovic staying would be a massive boost for Celtic. Within a short span of time, the Croatian has become a big part of this team.

He is a regular starter for Postecoglou’s side and with the Champions League group stage coming up next season, as well as the Scottish crown to defend, him staying on at Parkhead would be very important for this side moving forward.

Of course, if a huge offer came in then Celtic might be tempted to let Juranovic go. It remains to be seen how things play out over the coming weeks and months. To be honest though, a £15 million transfer asking price does seem a bit low for the Croatian international full-back.
