Celtic linked with surprise move for Liverpool player

Celtic have already completed a big move for Cameron Carter-Vickers, which could rise up to a £10 million transfer fee with add-ons and potentially make him the most expensive signing in the club’s history. On the other hand, the Hoops are believed to be closing in on making Jota’s loan stay permanent as well, with them having a €7.5 million option to buy.

Both those players arrived on loan last summer and proved to be inspired signing for Celtic. As a result, while fans are not often keen on bringing in players on a temporary basis, it is clear that they can work wonders when done right.

Thus, do not be surprised if the club complete more loan moves this summer, inspired by last season’s success. What is surprising though is that they are being linked with a move for a Liverpool player.

As reported by the Mirror, Rangers, Celtic and a host of Championship clubs are reportedly interested in a loan move for Calvin Ramsay although Jurgen Klopp is not considering immediately sending the youngster back out.

Celtic linked with surprise loan move for Liverpool player this summer

Liverpool have just agreed a deal to sign Ramsay from Aberdeen this summer and it is believed that Klopp will give the youngster a chance in pre-season instead of immediately sending him out on loan.

Ramsay was incredibly impressive while playing for Aberdeen last season and was even linked with a move to Celtic at one point of time, even though the Hoops do not need another player at right-back at the moment, thanks to the performances of Josip Juranovic and Anthony Ralston.

It is believed that Ramsay is viewed by many as the long-term challenger for Trent Alexander-Arnold’s spot at Liverpool. It will be very interesting to see if the youngster actually turns out to be that good.
