Celtic’s squad will not undergo a major rebuild this summer like it did the last time around, but it could still go through a few changes, like is the case with all clubs of this magnitude. As a result, new signings are expected, as the Hoops will return to the main stage of the UEFA Champions League after several years. At the same time though, there could be plenty who could be on their way out.
There are the likes of Albian Ajeti, Boli Bolingoli and Vasilis Barkas, who have been linked with Celtic exits for a while, after never quite managing to make an impression at the first-team level.
Now, it might be time to add the name of Christopher Jullien to that list as well, as the Frenchman could not get into Ange Postecoglou’s playing XI despite regaining fitness earlier this year and ended up making just one appearance over the course of the 2021/22 campaign.
Frank McAvennie believes that Jullien’s Celtic career is pretty much finished. As reported by Football Insider, he said:
“There were so many games to play last season and he never got a look in, that tells me he’s pretty much finished at Celtic.”
Is Celtic star’s career at Parkhead coming to an end soon?
Jullien is one of the most expensive signings in the history of Celtic and he was a major star for them during his first season in Scotland as well. But a major injury has meant that he has barely played any football in two seasons now and as a result, his future at the club is pretty much up in the air at this point of time.
He did manage to make his return to full fitness earlier this year and most people would have expected him to feature much more often than he did after that.
