Ange Postecoglou might be on the verge of guiding Celtic to the Scottish Premiership title and has already won the Scottish League Cup with them, but even then, it does not feel like we have seen the best of Angeball at Parkhead yet. Yes, we have seen glimpses of it here and there but never on a consistent basis. Could that change in the next season?

Celtic have made a lot of signings over the two transfer windows during with Postecoglou has been the manager of the club. While this summer is not expected to involve the chaos that the last one did, do not be surprised to see the Hoops make a few major additions, especially with Champions League football to play next season if they are crowned Champions of Scotland.

It looks like the club have already started strengthening the squad as well. As reported by The Scottish Sun, Celtic are on the verge of securing the signing of Hammarby left-back Mohanad Jeahze. Several reports coming out of Sweden have stated the same.

Left-back has been an area of weakness for Celtic for quite some time now, ever since Kieran Tierney left the club to join Arsenal in the summer of 2019. Greg Taylor has done a decent job under the management of Postecoglou and shown definite improvement but the club could definitely do with more options there, especially with Boli Bolingoli expected to leave and Liam Scales struggling to make an impact.

Jeahze could be the perfect fit in Postecoglou’s system of football. Firstly, he is already accustomed to playing in the role of an inverted full-back, which is very important in Angeball.

Secondly, going forward, he is exceptional and tops a lot of parameters for defenders in the Allsvenskan and is even comparable to many wingers in the Swedish top flight.

Defensively, he is a good tackler and an aggressive presser of the ball. Both would come in handy in Postecoglou relentless style of football and on top of that, he has the stamina to play with high intensity through the course of the 90 minutes.

Thus, if Celtic are able to sign him, it has the potential to be a transfer masterstroke on their part.
