Celtic manager reveals why he won’t watch Rangers match

With Celtic going down a goal early on against Hearts, a lot of fans must have been feeling the nerves. While the title race was pretty much in control, anything can happen in football. Ultimately, there was not much to be worried about though as Ange Postecoglou’s side walked out with a 4-1 victory, with Daizen Maeda, Kyogo Furuhashi, Matt O’Riley and Giorgos Giakoumakis getting their names on the scoresheet.

The win leaves them 9 points clear of the Rangers, who do have a game in hand. But even if Celtic lose their remaining two, Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side would have to win all three of theirs and overturn a goal difference of 22 at the same time. The Hoops would surely want to get the point they need to put it beyond any doubt, in the next game away at Dundee United though.

But at the same time, if the Rangers end up dropping points this weekend, against Dundee United, the title race would be over.

Thus, it is safe to say that the game could have major implications on Celtic’s season. Yet, Ange Postecoglou seems to have other plans for the weekend. As reported by The Scottish Sun, the manager revealed to Sky Sports:

“Nah I’ve said before mate, that’s my kids day – the day off – so apparently there’s a new movie out called ‘The Bad Guys’ that’s on the agenda so we’ll be keeping our eyes on that.”

Celtic manager won’t be watching the Rangers game tomorrow

That is the most Postecoglou thing to say to be honest. For those who do not know, The Bad Guys is an animated movie that has come out recently.

While Postecoglou might not be watching, a number of Celtic fans would be expected to have their eyes on the game as it could turn out to be the moment when the club are crowned Champions of Scotland once again.

This would be their 10th league title win in 11th season and arguably the most satisfying considering how the previous season had turned out and they had finished 25 points behind the Rangers, blowing their chance at winning 10IAR as a result.
