Celtic legend Scott Brown linked with shock move to England

Scott Brown called time on his Celtic career last summer in order to move to Aberdeen, where he would still be playing while also being part of Stephen Glass’ coaching team as well. It is safe to say that things did not turn out as the Hoops legend would have hoped or expected, as the Dons found themselves struggling.

Glass, a former Hibernian teammate of Brown, would be shown the exit door in the middle of the campaign and was replaced by Jim Goodwin.

Brown would leave Aberdeen soon afterwards and although never officially announced, it is believed that he has hung up his boots and will be focusing on his coaching career moving forward.

While Brown spent the entirety of his playing career in Scotland, it appears that he might potentially take his first steps in management in England. As reported by The Sun, the Celtic legend is on English League One side Fleetwood Town’s radar to be their next manager.

Fleetwood Town managed to narrowly escape relegation from League One this season and finished 20th. Thus, it is safe to say that if Brown did end up taking the job, he would have his work cut out.

That would be an interesting path for Brown to take though as the general feeling his that he could have a much easier time getting a top job in Scotland instead by beginning as an assistant manager at a club.

Rumours had even broken out earlier that he could potentially start managing at the youth levels for Celtic before eventually moving up the ladder, although nothing has come of it till now.

No matter what step Broony takes in his career next, we can only wish him the best of luck and hope he enjoys a lot of success.
