The Celtic squad has undergone quite a transformation since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou and more changes are expected over the coming weeks and months as well. While one would expect the Hoops to make more additions in the summer transfer window, there are many players at the club who do not appear to be a part of the manager’s plans and could be on their way out of Parkhead.
The names that come to mind immediately in this regard are that of Vasilis Barkas and Albian Ajeti. But another player whose career at Celtic looks as good as over is Boli Bolingoli.
Bolingoli has rarely even been part of the matchday squad this season and it had looked like he was headed to FC Ufa on loan. The move to the Russian club did not materialise though because of the circumstances and now, the left-back finds himself in a terrible spot.
As reported by the Daily Record, Bolingoli is training solo in his native Belgium and shared footage online on his Instagram.
Bolingoli training on his own away from Celtic
It is hard to see Bolingoli getting back into the Celtic playing XI anytime soon and it looks like his long-term future lies away from Parkhead.
Interestingly, he had been signed in the same summer transfer window in which Kieran Tierney left to join Arsenal in a Scottish record move. It is safe to say that the Belgian has not even come close to filling his absence at Celtic.
A move away from Celtic on a permanent basis might be the best move for Bolingoli at this point of time although it will be very interesting to see if he gets good offers in the summer.
On the other hand, left-back has remained a worry for Celtic and they are expected to make additions there sooner or later.
