A lot will be riding on the result when Celtic face the Rangers at Ibrox at the start of next month. As things stand, only three points separate the two Glasgow giants and there are just seven league games left to be played. Thus, for the first time in a decade, it looks like the Premiership race will go down to the wire and with a Champions League spot up for grabs, both would surely be looking to getting the job done.
Celtic might have gotten the better of the Rangers when the two sides met at Parkhead earlier this year, with the Hoops getting a convincing 3-0 victory.
But the club’s recent record against their crosstown rivals has not been anything to write home about. And thus, it will be interesting to see if they can get the better of them away at Ibrox. Even a draw would be a magnificent result for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Unfortunately for Celtic though, there are quite a few important players, whose availability status for the big game is in doubt.
3 players Celtic could miss against Rangers at Ibrox
Here are three players that Celtic could end up missing when they face the Rangers at Ibrox, in one of the most important Glasgow Derby in years:
Kyogo has been an absolute standout for Celtic this season and was arguably the club’s best player before he would end up picking up a long-term injury in December.
The Japanese star has been out of action since then. And while he has been pictured training on his own recently, that does not mean that he will be fit in time to feature against the Rangers.
Also, Kyogo must be given the time to work his back to match fitness instead of being given starts immediately after he is cleared to feature. Otherwise, there will be risk of reinjury.
