Celtic Predicted XI vs Ross County: Big decisions for Postecoglou

Celtic will know that they need all three points when they take on Ross County at Parkhead. The pressure is on at the moment, with just 8 league games to go, and the Premiership title race tighter than it has ever been in the past decade. Ange Postecoglou’s side are the ones in the driver’s seat right now but their lead is just three points over the Rangers. It will take long for that to be overturned if the Hoops are not careful.

The Rangers themselves had a 6-point lead coming out of the winter break but now find themselves chasing Celtic.

Thus, things could get very interesting over the coming weeks and months, with a couple of Glasgow Derbies still to be played.

Celtic have a good opportunity to put some pressure on their Glasgow rivals here though. They will take to the pitch earlier than the Rangers will in this matchday and as a result, if Postecoglou’s side win, they will extend the gap to 6-point, albeit having played a game more. Every advantage counts though when the margins are so tight.

Here’s how we think Ange Postecoglou could line Celtic up when they welcome Ross County to Parkhead for a very important game in the title race:

It is easy to forget how many problems Celtic had between the posts last season, with none of Vasilis Barkas, Scott Bain and Conor Hazard being able to nail down their spot in the starting XI for any considerable length of time.

The reason why it is easy forget is how well Hart has done since arriving in the summer. He is the undisputed starter in goal for Celtic right now with Bain being a distant second. Barkas is expected to leave in the summer and Hazard has already departed on loan.
