Ange Postecoglou confirms another Celtic injury boost

In the first half of the season, injuries had been Celtic’s biggest problem. The club had missed several key players through fitness problems at one point or another, and it definitely had an effect on their performances on the pitch. Things have looked much more positive in this aspect in recent weeks though and that is great news, as the Hoops look to win back the Premiership title.

Several players have been able to recover from their injury problems following the winter break. On the other hand, the club also added five more players to the squad during the January transfer window, which has helped with options as well.

Now, there is no question that there are still a few important players who are out of action due to injury. But overall, Celtic are in a much better position right now, than they were a few months back.

Amidst all this, Ange Postecoglou has delivered some more positive news for Celtic. As reported by 67 Hail Hail, he said while speaking on the club’s official YouTube channel during a media conference:

“Mikey missed a couple of weeks. Mikey, Karamoko [Dembele], Johnny [Kenny] got some game-time and they’re available. That means they got through the game okay.

“They obviously had today off [Thursday] because they played but they’ll be back training with us on Saturday and they’re available.”

Postecoglou delivers further good news for Celtic

The availability of these players is great news for Celtic and gives a further boost to the options that the manager has to look towards.

Right now, the big names who are missing are that of Kyogo and David Turnbull, who have been out of action since December.

It is safe to say that both of them are key players for Postecoglou and Celtic, and as a result, the sooner they are able to regain full fitness, the better for the Hoops.

There is not a large part of the season left, with just 8 league games and Scottish Cup games to be played. Hopefully, Kyogo and Turnbull are able to make some short of impact before the campaign ends.
