Ange Postecoglou’s incredible claim about Celtic training

The improvement that Celtic have made since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as manager is incredible to say the least. The Hoops had finished trophyless and 25 points behind the Rangers in the Premiership last season. This time around, they have already lifted the Scottish League Cup and sit three points ahead of the Rangers in the Premiership right now. Thus, no matter how this campaign ends, it should be considered as a success for them.

And it is not just about the results for this Celtic side. They have played some beautiful football along the way as well, even though there have been some ups and downs.

Their recent performances have not been the best to be very honest and at times, it is just sheer determination that has gotten them across the finish line.

In the eyes of Postecoglou, Celtic’s training might very well be at its best level right now. As reported by 67 Hail Hail, the manager said on the club’s official YouTube channel during a media conference:

“Anecdotally and observationally from me – without looking at the data which I do every day anyway – my sense is that our training is at the best level it has been all year so that is the kind of stuff I look at and you hope that transfers into the games.”

Postecoglou makes incredible claim about Celtic’s training

It is safe to say that it does make sense for Celtic’s training to be at its best level right now. For the majority of the first half of the campaign, the club had struggled with a series of injuries.

Things have improved a lot on that front in recent times. On the other hand, the club made five more additions to their squad in the January transfer window as well.

Thus, even though they might be missing key players like Kyogo and David Turnbull, overall, this might be the best shape that the squad has been in, since Postecoglou’s arrival as manager in the summer.

One can only hope that the performances in training start translating to the pitch as soon as possible.
