Celtic must solve massive problem as soon as possible

Celtic’s recent performances have left a lot to be desired. Ange Postecoglou’s side have looked a shell of the team that played the Rangers off the park just a little over a month ago in a dominant 3-0 win. Instead, the Hoops have had to rely on moments of individual brilliance and sheer determination to get them out of trouble in recent games. And with the Premiership title up for grabs, they cannot let that continue for long.

Many feel that it is going forward that their biggest problems lie. Daizen Maeda has struggled to impress in the absence of Kyogo and Giorgos Giakoumakis.

On the other hand, many believe defence to be the weak spot of this team, as they have shown an inability to defend against set-pieces.

Both those are genuine problems for Celtic right now. But their biggest problem might be the struggles that their midfield has faced in recent games. If the Hoops are to return to form, that is the issue that they need to fix first.

Celtic need to solve midfield problem immediately

It is incredible how a number of Celtic’s midfielders have lost their form at the same time. Tom Rogic, Reo Hatate, Callum McGregor, all appear to be struggling to rediscover their best at the moment.

Not too long ago, this Celtic midfield was looking unplayable. But right now, they appear to be nothing but underwhelming.

We know how good they can be on their day. But unfortunately, we have not seen their best in a while now. And the longer this run continues, the bigger Celtic’s worries will be.

Celtic are currently leading the Premiership title race by three points. But that is not a huge lead, and can be overturned over the course of a game or two. There are two Glasgow Derbies left to be played this season.
