3 problems Celtic look set to face against Bodo/Glimt

Celtic will have a mountain to climb when they take on Bodo/Glimt in the second leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League tie. While the Norwegian champions were always expected to be tough opposition for the Hoops, not many would have expected them to come out of Parkhead with a 3-1 victory. Thus, Ange Postecoglou’s side will have to beat the top of their games away in Norway.

Even that might not be enough but it will at least give them a chance of pulling off a famous comeback in Europe.

In the first leg, Celtic had more shots, more shots on target, more possession and a better passing accuracy but just could not put the ball in the back of the net, while Bodo/Glimt did so three times from just four shots on target.

Thus, if Celtic are able to make the right adjustments, they might potentially have a chance to make something happen away in Bodo.

At this point of time, it is safe to say that Celtic are without arguably their best player right now. Kyogo has been out injured for a while now but there is uncertainly over when he will eventually return to the pitch.

It remains to be seen how things turn out in that regard, but then, at the same time, it is safe to say that Celtic have a lack of goalscorers in their starting line up.

Giorgos Giakoumakis might be coming off of a hattrick at the weekend, but he has not been prolific in front of goal during his time at Celtic. Jota also has not scored nearly as regularly since his return from injury.
