3 Celtic players who are a worry for Ange Postecoglou

Celtic are a team in form at the moment. The club have already lifted the Scottish League Cup this season, having defeated Hibernian in the final in December through a brace from Kyogo Furuhashi. They are sitting at the top of the Premiership with a one point lead over the Rangers and twelve league games left to be played this season. And with their 4-0 win over Raith Rovers, they moved into the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup as well.

Thus, it is very possible that Celtic could be competing to win a treble this season once again, although there is a long way to go and they must take things one step at a time.

It must be said though that things are far from perfect at Celtic at the moment, even if they are looking up.

Ange Postecoglou has a lot to be happy about right now but he will be worried about a few players as well.

Here are three Celtic players, who are a worry for Ange Postecoglou at this point of time, despite the club’s great run of form:

Before suffering an injury in the Scottish League Cup final, Turnbull was the most active player at Celtic this season and an ever present in their midfield.

Things have changed quite significantly since then though. Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley arrived in the January transfer window and have impressed immensely so far. On the other hand, while Turnbull was a regular in Postecoglou’s starting XI, many had raised doubts about his performances this season.

Thus, the Scottish midfielder could have a tough time breaking into the first-team picture when he is back from injury. But at the same time, he does not seem like the kind of player who would be happy with sitting on the bench for long. Of course, the most important thing right now though is for him to return to full fitness.
