Celtic might be flying high at the moment, having already won the Scottish League Cup this season and sitting at the top of the Premiership table. But that was not always the case. The club had not made a great start under the management of Ange Postecoglou and at one point, questions were even raised about whether they could finish in the top two this season.

Also, eyebrows were raised about several of the club’s summer signings and the squad was not believed to be anywhere near strong enough to challenge for the Premiership title.

About half-a-season on and it is safe to say that a lot of fans have been proven wrong. Of course, the biggest one in that regard is Ange Postecoglou himself, who was viewed as an underwhelming appointment but is now a fan favourite.

But there are a number of players as well who have delivered more than what most people expected.

Here are three Celtic stars who have managed to prove the fans wrong this season and become big parts of the first-team picture:

Hart had been a top goalkeeper in his prime but had not been a regular goalkeeper for a club for years, when Celtic decided to sign him in the summer from Tottenham Hotspur.

Naturally, doubts were raised about whether it was the right move on the part of the club, who had had their issues between the posts last season with none of Vasilis Barkas, Scott Bain and Conor Hazard impressing to the point where they could be considered as first choice.

It is safe to say that Hart has nailed down the starting spot since coming in though and proven a lot of people wrong in the process of doing so.
