What Artur Boruc told Josip Juranovic about Celtic revealed

Celtic pulled off several brilliant transfer moves in the summer and the one for Josip Juranovic is certainly looking like one of them. The Hoops are believed to have signed the Croatian international from Legia Warsaw for a transfer fee believed to be around £2.5 million and that is starting to feel like a bargain, as the 26-year-old has been an ever-present in Ange Postecoglou’s side ever since joining the club.

Juranovic recent display against the Rangers was extraordinary. It was as good a performance as you are going to see from a right-back this season.

It is not only at right-back that Juranovic has contributed. He has also filled in at left-back and on the wing, whenever the manager has called upon him. And he is quickly emerging as one of the leaders of this Celtic team as well.

A Celtic hero that Juranovic had had the chance to share a dressing room with during his time at Legia Warsaw is Artur Boruc. And during a Q&A on the club’s official Twitter, when asked about what the goalkeeper had told him about the club, Juranovic said:

“He said this opportunity to play for Celtic was one I needed to take. He said I would love it here because of the fans and the city.”

What Boruc told Juranovic about Celtic

It is safe to say that Juranovic is looking like a great signing on the part of the club and he will surely be hoping to make his mark at Parkhead, like Boruc was able to do during his time in Glasgow.

A brilliant player in his prime, many Celtic fans believe that he is the best goalkeeper that the club have had since the turn of the century.

Now 41 years of age, he is still playing profession football, and is at Juranovic’s former club, Legia Warsaw at the moment. Since leaving Celtic, he has represented Fiorentina, Southampton and Bournemouth as well. A fantastic career to say the least and it is great to hear that he enjoyed his time at Parkhead.
