Celtic Predicted XI vs Rangers: A huge surprise from Ange?

Celtic will have a huge chance when they welcome the Rangers to Parkhead on Wednesday. Coming out of the winter break, Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side had a 6-point lead at the top of the Premiership. That has been reduced to a couple of points, with them drawing against Aberdeen and Ross County. And Ange Postecoglou’s side will have the chance to go top of the table when the two sides meet.

It is safe to say that going into the game, Celtic have momentum and form on their side. But form often goes out of the window when it comes to Glasgow Derbies.

Also, the Hoops have their fair share of worries as well. Key players like Kyogo, Callum McGregor, David Turnbull, Yosuke Ideguchi and a few others have struggled with injuries. On the other hand, Daizen Maeda and Tom Rogic have been away on international duty. And on top of it all, Nir Bitton will miss the game through suspension after being sent off against Dundee United.

Thus, it will be very interesting to see what kind of team Postecoglou puts out on the pitch against the Rangers on Wednesday at Parkhead. There could potentially be a surprise or two though.

Here’s how we think Ange Postecoglou could line Celtic up when they take on the Rangers in one of the most important Glasgow Derbies in a long time:

Joe Hart

Hart has been excellent since arriving in the summer and has made the first-team gloves his own for Celtic. Not only has he been great in goal but he has proven to be a leader as well.

He could even potentially end up wearing the captain’s armband against the Rangers, if McGregor is not fit to feature on the day.
