Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves interested in Celtic talent

Celtic have not had a great time recently when it comes to holding on to their talented young prospects. Of course, there are a few reasons for that. The big one is the fact that not a lot of players have been able to make the jump from the youth ranks to the senior team over the past few years. On the other hand, the club have also struggled to make the Champions League group stage for a long time now.

As a result, many youngsters have chosen to leave Celtic for teams like Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Leeds United and others in recent times. Could another name be added to that quickly growing list in the near future?

As reported by Football Scotland, Celtic youngster, Mitchel Frame, is attracting interest from a trio of Premier League clubs. Tottenham Hotspur, Wolves and Crystal Palace are keen on the 15-year-old Scottish defender.

Frame has been at the Celtic academy since he was eight years of age and is without doubt one of the club’s top young prospects at this point of time.

Will Frame decide to remain at Celtic or leave?

With the three Premier League clubs interested in his signature, it is very possible that Frame could end up continuing his development down South.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Frame but it has not been an uncommon sight for youngsters to leave the club for Premier League teams in recent years.

Of course, this is something that Celtic need to take care of as soon as possible. Developing youngsters is not only a big part of the identity of the club but it is also important to compete with teams across Europe today, with it being pretty clear that the Scottish league cannot compete financially with quite a few others around the continent.
