3 things Celtic need to improve in to win the Premiership

Celtic must be very happy with the first half of the season, after the disappointing 2020/21 campaign when they finished trophyless and 25 points behind the Rangers in the Premiership table. This time around, they already have some silverware to show for their efforts, having lifted the Scottish League Cup last month, with a 2-1 win over Hibernian in the final.

There is need to improve further though as sights will now have to turn towards the big one – the Scottish Premiership.

The Rangers still hold a 6-point lead in the league table and it is safe to say that Celtic will need to step their game up in the second half of the campaign if they are to catch up with their Glasgow rivals.

Thankfully, that is not a lead that cannot be overturned with 18 league games still to be played this season, which included three Glasgow Derbies. Thus, if Ange Postecoglou’s side are able to improve in certain aspects of their game, they have a solid chance of returning to the top of Scottish football.

This is has been a major worry for Celtic not only this season but for quite some time. Often, we have seen them create a lot of chances but then struggle to find the back of the net.

There were a few Glasgow Derbies that they could have won last season if only they had taken their chances in front of goal.

And one would hope that they are able to improve in this regard as soon as possible. With the likes of Kyogo, Daizen Maeda, Jota and few others, let’s see if they can start scoring more regularly after the winter break.
