Celtic are weighing up offers for two summer signings

Celtic went into the last summer transfer window knowing that their squad needed a major rebuild. And the club did make twelve signings overall, with ten arriving on a permanent basis and two on loan. To be honest, most of them have worked out for the Hoops and they must be quite content with the moves that they made. But at the same time, there are some that have not.

As a result, it might be a good idea to send those out on loan, who are struggling for first-team minutes at Parkhead right now. Liam Shaw and Osaze Urhoghide are two such players.

Celtic had agreed a move for Shaw as far back as last season, while Urhoghide was the first signing of the Ange Postecoglou era. Both arrived from Sheffield Wednesday.

Neither of them has featured much though. They had to wait months before making their debut against Real Betis in December. Thus, loan moves away make sense for both youngsters in order to help with their development.

Celtic duo could head out on loan in the near future

As reported by The Scottish Sun, there is loan interest in both Shaw and Urhoghide, and Postecoglou is weighing up offers for both. He will also gauge their feelings before making a final decision on the matter.

There is no question that both the players have some potential. In fact, Urhoghide was extremely impressive in the game against Real Betis and a lot of fans would have expected him to get more chances moving forward. But that has not happened.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for both Shaw and Urhoghide. At this stage of their careers, they do need to play regular first-team football though and hopefully they will get that in order to continue developing their games.
