Hearts suffer massive injury blow before Celtic match

Celtic’s game against Hearts will be very important for both sides and could have major implications on the Scottish Premiership title race. As we stand, four points separate the two Glasgow giants and Ange Postecoglou’s side must be looking to keep up the pressure on the Rangers. It is safe to say though that the upcoming match is not expected to be an easy one for the Hoops.

Hearts have made an impressive start to the season and they will actually climb over Celtic in the Premiership table if they can get a win at Parkhead when the two sides meet in midweek.

Thus, it is safe to say that Celtic will need to be on top of their game. While they have been winning a lot in recent months, most of them have been close games. When they face the Hearts though, Postecoglou’s side could need to put in a big performance.

Hearts have been handed a big injury blow before their Parkhead visit. As reported by BT, Beni Baningime has been sent to get a scan to determine the extent of his ankle injury and is set to miss the game against Celtic.

Hearts suffer injury blow before important Celtic match

It goes without saying that this will be a major blow for Hearts. On the other hand though, Celtic have had their fair share of injury worries as well.

Tom Rogic and Carl Starfelt have been out for a while now although they are believed to be closing in on their returns. Nir Bitton picked up an injury recently as well but fortunately, it is not expected to keep him out of action for a long time. Of course, there are a few players who have been out with long-term problems as well.

It remains to be seen how the game between Hearts and Celtic turns out this midweek. One thing that is for sure though is that it is going to be a very important match.
