3 Celtic returns that could happen in the near future

Celtic have done quite well in recent weeks and are in a good run of form right now. And with the Rangers finding themselves without a manager at the moment, Ange Postecoglou’s side have a huge chance to cut down the gap between the two sides over the coming weeks and maybe even take a lead of their own.

Form is definitely on Celtic’s side at the moment. They have won seven out of their last eight games in all competitions, while drawing the other one. And it does appear that they are getting better with every performance.

Thus, things are very much looking up for the Hoops right now. But they will also know that they do not have the deepest squad at the moment and a few injuries could easily derail their momentum.

Thus, the Hoops will need to strengthen their squad over the coming transfer windows in order to compete for titles consistently once again. And here are three former players who could be available in the near future.

The former Celtic goalkeeper has struggled for minutes at Derby County recently. And he could very well be looking for a way out in the near future.

Coming through the youth ranks at Parkhead, David Marshall left the club well over a decade and a half ago, and has enjoyed a brilliant career down South, mostly for clubs in the Championship although he has enjoyed Premier League football as well.

He was linked with a return to Celtic as recently as last summer and while he might no longer be able to make his mark in the first-team at 36 years of age, he can definitely play the role of a solid back up option between the posts.
