Celtic: 3 players who can play a bigger role for Ange Postecoglou

Following this international break, Celtic have a long stretch of games coming up which they will have to navigate through. As we all know, they do not have the deepest squad at this point of time and as a result, a few injuries could end up having a huge effect on Ange Postecoglou’s side. We have already seen them struggle without Kyogo and Callum McGregor earlier in the season.

They will be hoping that a repeat of that does not happen during the upcoming busy run of fixtures, which could very easily end up making or breaking their season.

Thus, it will be important for Postecoglou to use the players well and make sure that they do not play too much football, while also making sure that the results continue to remain positive.

That is certain a difficult task for any manager and as a result, Postecoglou might have to end up relying on a few players more than he has till now.

3 players who can play a bigger role for Celtic

Here are three Celtic players who can end up playing a bigger role after this international break, as we head towards a busy run of fixtures:

Kyogo has been nothing short of magnificent since arriving at Celtic earlier in the summer and it is arguable that he is the most important player in Postecoglou’s side right now.

As a result, it will be very important that Kyogo remains fit moving forward. He has already picked up an injury earlier in the season and a few knocks as well.

Thus, Giorgos Giakoumakis could end up player a bigger role after the international break. Till now, he has mostly been limited to cameos off the bench. He has impressed at times, at others he has not.

But at the moment, he very much looks like the back-up striker to Kyogo in the squad. And so, it is important that he finds some form as soon as possible.
