Postecoglou delivers huge Celtic January transfer update

Ange Postecoglou has provided a huge Celtic January transfer update, as it looks like fans should be excited for what is to come. The club were always expected to make moves in the winter transfer window and now, it looks like the Hoops have big plans to strengthen the squad as they look ready to make a title challenge.

Postecoglou has done a brilliant job with the cards that he has been dealt but there is no denying the fact that the Celtic squad needs additions in quite a few areas.

At times this season, we have seen them struggle when important players have suffered injuries and they should look to avoid that in the second half of the campaign, when the title race could be heating up.

Postecoglou’s recent comments will excite Celtic fans. As reported by the Daily Record, the manager said:

“We want to make sure we are well organised long before then, so we are going to identify targets and we will be talking to quite a few.

“But we are not negotiating or close to signing anyone at the moment.

“There will be plenty of people putting their name forward because I think this is an attractive destination at the moment. There will be plenty of names.

“We are working towards then and we know what we need. We are just focused on being organised in January.”

Celtic appear to preparing for a big January transfer window

Celtic’s recent record with transfers has been hit and miss. But it is safe to say that the recent successes have been big ones.

Kyogo has been nothing short of sensational. Jota looks like a magnificent player who the fans will be hoping the club can sign on a permanent basis. Liel Abada is still just 20 and is already making his mark on the first-team.

Joe Hart has proven himself to be a leader and nailed down his spot in between the posts.  Carl Starfelt has appeared to come into his own in recent months and looks like a solid centre-back. Cameron Carter-Vickers looks another loan player the club should try to sign on a permanent basis. Josip Juranovic is impressing despite not playing in his natural position.

All of them are summer arrivals and are already regulars in the first-team. And Celtic will be hoping that whoever that they sign in January can have a similar impact as well. Things are certainly looking up for the club at the moment.
