Dundee manager makes exciting Celtic confession

Dundee manager, James McPake, has made an exciting confession about this Celtic side following their 4-2 win away at Dens Park. Braces from Jota and Kyogo Furuhashi were enough to hand the Hoops all three points as Ange Postecoglou’s side are starting to build up some serious momentum now, having won seven of their previous eight games across all competitions and drawing the other one.

Of course, it was not the perfect performance from Celtic and they would have preferred to not concede the two goals. But it is certainly a positive result going into the international break.

Celtic now sit just four points behind the Rangers in the Scottish Premiership table and are very much the team in form at the moment. Thus, things could certainly get interesting in the title race over the coming months.

And James McPake admitted to the quality of Ange Postecoglou’s side and particularly their front three. As reported by The Courier, the Dundee FC manager said:

“When Celtic are like that they are very hard to deal with and it showed today.

“The front three are good players. Their movement is good, Kyogo’s finish for the fourth goal is outstanding.”

Celtic have been in brilliant form in recent weeks

It is safe to say that when Celtic have had most of their best players available, they have done tremendously. We saw them struggle without Kyogo and Callum McGregor earlier in the campaign. But with both of them back now, the Hoops are well and truly finding their rhythm.

Kyogo scored a brace today, while Jota did the same. The Portuguese winger is also emerging as one of Postecoglou’s most important players and he has been nothing short of incredible ever since arriving in the summer on a season-long loan from Benfica. There are already calls to make the move permanent.

The important thing now though will be to return from the international break with the same kind of performances. While there is a lot to be positive about Celtic’s recent displays, we are still very early in the season.
