Celtic want to sign £1.5 million South Korean golden boy

As the January transfer window approaches, Celtic are being linked with some very interesting and exciting names. We have already heard the rumours about Japanese superstar, Daizen Maeda, who has already played under the management of Ange Postecoglou in the past. And now, it looks like the Hoops have their eyes on a South Korean golden boy as well.

While Celtic have done well going forward, it is clear that Postecoglou could do with more options in the attacking areas, as he has not had much scope for team rotation till now.

South Korean international winger, Song Min-kyu, is the latest name to be linked with a potential move to Parkhead in the January transfer window.

As reported by the Daily Record, reports in South Korea have indicated that Celtic are looking to land the £1.5 million-rated star who currently plays for Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.

Celtic linked with a move for South Korean golden boy Song Min-kyu

Song Min-kyu is considered as one of the biggest talents in South Korea right now. And he has already won the K League Young Player of the Year in the past.

He started the season in fantastic form with Pohang Steelers but has found the going a bit tougher since joining Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors over the summer. But there is no question about his talent or potential and he has already made multiple appearances for the South Korea national team.

Some like Min-kyu could be an interesting signing for Celtic to say the least. He turned 22 years of age just last month and would be expected to improve further as a player moving forward.

We have seen many South Korean players thrive in European football in recent times. But there is expected to be a lot of competition for Min-kyu’s signature if he does end up moving in the near future.
