Former player pictured in Celtic top despite summer exit

Once you play for Celtic, it creates a lifelong bond with you. The club are known to have one of the best supports in world football and it is not hard to see why so many players have fond memories surrounding the club even after leaving. Recently, a former star was pictured in the club’s training top despite leaving earlier in the summer.

Now, it is safe to say that the Celtic squad has undergone quite a transformation over the course of the past few months. They have managed to bring in twelve new players overall, ten on a permanent basis and two on loan with an option to buy included.

On the other hand, several long-time stars departed the club over the summer as well. Olivier Ntcham was one such player.

After a sensational start to his Celtic career, Ntcham had faded away over the years at Parkhead and when he left this summer, it was not considered as a major blow to the first-team like the exits of Odsonne Edouard or Ryan Christie were. The French midfielder appears to still have a connection with the Hoops though.

As reported by the Daily Record, Ntcham was pictured on Instagram wearing one of his old Celtic training tops for a gym workout.

This is great to see, especially from a player whose last couple of years at the club were not the best.

At one point of time, Ntcham was rated at around £20 million but ended up joining Swansea City on a free transfer this summer. He had spent half-a-season on loan at Marseille last season but failed to make his mark with the French giants.

There is no question about the fact though that on his day, Ntcham is a terrific midfielder and what he appears to be lacking in right now is consistency. Hopefully he can find that in the near future and we can only wish him the best of luck moving forward.
